Developer Sony Bend Studio has hinted that Days Gone 2 may be on the cards, stating the company is keen to further explore the world it has created for the Freaker-smashing open-world IP. Due to the lack of strongly positive reviews, Sony rejected Bend Studio's pitch for a sequel, which sparked a petition where over 150,000 fans tried to change the company's mind. Despite the fact that the original Days Gone launched way back in April 2019, and there has never been a sequel formally announced, there are still those fans that hold out hope.
